Jonathan Morgan Continued.....

After numerous requests about another Jonny Morgan post (seriously, the blog is getting better) I have decided to listen to my viewers and do a post on the guy who has ruined my life in his own special way! Much Love Jonny!

Today I'll focus on his way of being a liar! No these aren't little white , these are preety mahoosive ones! They vary on what I'll call the liabillity scale. Let me give you a couple of examples:
I was born in Old Trafford. Scale:5
I have a girlfriend. Scale:10

Oh! Wait I just got a call, Jonny does have a girlfriend, and they have been actually going out for about a year now. I guess congratulations are in order......... NO WAY! I STILL DON'T BELIEVE HIM!
Chances are that he creates another facebook profile, msn profile, makes a doll and paint her and take pictures of him and his "doll" kissing. That would make a lot of sense, I mean C'mon- Lyme Regis? You can't just make place up you know!

Ok, back to reallity. Jonny tells the story of how we met numerous times, however, over the years, the basis of the story is true it's just that he has exageratted it to massive proportions!
The TRUE basis of the story is that he would hang out with this kid, and he got annoyed with him and said "Just go hang out with that nerd" 10 years on and I'm writing this. Now I will now tell you how this has expanded....
"Sam was sitting there on his own" Scale:1
"Sam was playing power rangers on his own" Scale:4
"Sam had a power ranger and was playing with it, on his own" Scale:6
"Sam was sitting on top of the monkey bars with a power ranger" Scale:8

Well, I bet in a few weeks it will be:
" Sam was hanging upside down from the monkey bars, giving birth to a power ranger and eating dirt" Don't act so suprised when he'll tell you this, you can be sure that I'll have to extend the scale.

Hello Cleveland! Hello Cleveland!

Oh poo! Not another gig post. Sorry, but I felt compelled to write this one and will be my last until after the 30th of May has passed (Joe Bonnamassa at the BIC Baby!)

Popeye And The Pixies......HOLY MOLY!!!!!!!

These guys are up on the rise and watch out Yetminster! ( I believe they haven't played there yet) after Yetminster maybe, Milbourne Port, Thornford and then The O2!!!!

A full set from the band, was an incrediable highlight in itself! The atmosphere wasa great, there was everything from french teachers, to Year 11 girls getting their grove on, Tony Rich with his shirt off and being auctioned, a bit "Mayor Of Casterbridge" don't you think Year 10 GCSE English class eh?

But, above all thsi came the incridable music of these very talented band, from Cream, to Free, To The Artic Monkeys, Ice Age, to everything! This band has it all!
You've got Jaco Pastorius on Bass, no wait! That's Lewis Coleman. You've got Ian Gillian and Jimmy Page as the lead singer/guitarist, no wait that's Alec Rich! Lead guitarist Eric Clapton... No tha's Calum Smith and last but not least (he is the drummer you know... "What Do You Call A Drummer With Half A Brain Cell?- Gifted" Classic) Keith Moon on drums, no that's Ed Rich! I proberly had one too many Coca Colas!

All in all a awful performance from muscians who have never heard of a key!

Only joking my lovley readers!

Hello Cleveland! Hello Cleveland!

Sorry for no recent posts as I've been too busy doing nothing. This post is going to be about my fourth time seeing the mighty Hells Bells!

If you didn't know I am the biggest AC/DC fan! I see Bon Scott as my hero and the ultimate frontman. So seeing Hells Bells is always a great night out!

We arrived at the awesome Quicksilver Mall ready for some rockin'! By the way if you are ever in yeovil check it out! Always a great gig on, I reccommend The Hamsters and when he comes Larry Miller. Hells Bells have their own support named "HellRazor" (So it's not just a clever name?) which if I may so where the best I've seen them. Kicking off the show with one of the best tracks from one of the best The Who albums:Won't Get Fooled Again. Very proffesional! Great work from drummer Jake Luxton! The highlights of the support would have to be Thunder's "Love Walked In",Rush's " The Spirit Of Radio", Deep Purple's "Highway Star" & Led Zeppelin's "Rock N Roll" (Both Thunder & Rush tracks covered by yours truley)

Soon enough Hells Bells kicked started the show with the might RIFF RAFF! If you don't know this, then you are not an AC/DC fan! Sorry.... After a lengthy set of Lee Jay's great vocal work, Danny's humour and just great music, Ian Chappell excellent and I mean excellent bass work, Jake's awesome drumming and of course the mighty Doogle peforming the mighty Angus Young! Let's not the forget the usual drunken' antics, a lenghty Bad Boy Boogie (a real treat for the ladies and lads, if that's what you're into) it was time to say goodbye to an excellent night of music. I can't wait till next time!

Check them out, you wont forget it!
P.S Danny's got a toaster for sale!

Hello Cleveland! Hello Cleveland!

This is a new segment on your favourite blog. I'll be talking about recent gigs (concerts-duh) that I have attended.

First up is Dave Bell/Popeye & The Pixies/China White at The Virginia Ash Pub.

Losing my Virginia Ash-inity got off to a good start from a very enjoyable acoustic set from Dave Bell. This writer particually enjoyed his rendition of the classic "Stand By Me". Plus don't tell anyone, but I did enjoy his version of Journeys "Don't Stop Believin'."

Up next was Popeye And The Pixies. Who immediatley bursted into "Good Times Bad Times" and If you don't who that is by you have either been living under a rock for the past 60/70 years and if not you shouldn't even be reading this blog! NO! Please don't leave this page, I love You Really. Personal highlights for me was The Cure's "Boys Don't Cry" and the most intense "White Room". Having seen this band numerous times, I can easily say this has been the best yet. Hey Lewis! Andy Frasser called; he wants his fingers back!

Sadly I had only enough time to watch one song of China White. But boy o' boy was it worth it. An awesome to start to a set with the second Cream track of the night-Sunshine Of Your Love, and with new bass player, this was brilliant! Bruce & Clapton would be proud!

Well done Virginia Ash Pub for putting on a splendid event!
